Marry Me, Smart Phones…(On-going)

As an observer and photographer, I have witnessed something that profoundly troubles me lately. People cannot seem to keep their hands off of their smartphones for even a minute or two. Walking down the subway carts I could not find one person who was not gazing into a phone, even those who were traveling with others. 

In this on-going documentary series, I aim to capture this “addiction” in order to raise awareness of its social impacts. It is important to document and highlight the harmful behaviour of self-isolation and lack of interactivity with the real world that smart phones have brought to the society.

I am still a believer in the major benefits technology brings to our world but I sincerely hope that people would use it less obsessively and become less captivated and cherish the precious moments they have with their surroundings.
